We've put together some answers to the FAQ's we've been getting

These are for stall holders, visitors and the curious

If your question isn't here, please shoot us an email hello@sydneyveganmarket.com

+ I would like to have a stall at Sydney Vegan Market

Great! We want you too! We only have one criteria: That your business/product range/menu is entirely vegan or plant based ie you don't use or sell animal products ever, like ever! Animal products include meat, dairy, eggs, honey, fur and wool. Animal testing is also included in this.

+ How much does it cost to have a stall at SVM?

We get it, most of us are small business and cash flow can be challenging so we've designed our pricing model in a way that's sustainable for even the freshest start up!

For a standard 3m x 3m:

  • Fresh food (cooked on the day): $180
  • Packaged food (incl cakes, jams, produce etc): $150
  • Non food: $120
  • Not For Profit: $50
  • Power - $30 per power point

+ What do I need to bring with me to trade at SVM?

SVM is a big outdoor market so you'll need to bring your own market tent, tables and all of your own equipment. we provide the little block of land and the number of power points you've paid for. Please note that SVM is a plastic free event so all plates, utensils, cups, straws, serving trays etc must be bio

+ What documents do I need?

You'll need Public/Product Liability insurance up to $20mil and if you're a food seller you'll also need:

  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
  • To fill out the Inner West Council Temp Food Permit form (& provide to the event organiser)
  • A sketch of your stall set up

+ How many servings should I bring?

This one is always hard to forecast! Our launch attracted over 6000 people and all of our food stalls sold out. It's a good idea to bring at least 400 serves, if you have capacity!

+ What happens if I don't get in?

Our market is curated so that your business stands out from the crowd and so that our customers can see a wide range of products. This means that we only have limited numbers in each category. If you don't get in one month, try again! We want to continue to invigorate and will invite new busineses to trade at every market.

+ I'd like to visit SVM, what is the adress and how do I get there?

We are through the train bridge at 100 Marrickville Rd, Marrickville. Our parking is veeeeeeeeery limited so the best bet is to catch a train to Sydenham station then walk. It'll take about 5 minutes! Other options include:

  • Driving to Tempe station, parking then training it back to Sydenham
  • Riding your bike
  • Walking
  • Car pooling
  • Catching the bus
  • UBER

+ Are there ATM's?

Yep, we have 2 on-site and the venue has 1 in their club house. Some vendors also have EFTPOS facilities but take it from us, BYO cash is the ticket! Those ATM queues are u g l y

+ Can I bring my dog/kids?

YES! Please do! In fact, if you don't we will all have feelings and you'll have to go home and get them. We also have a Doggy Chill Zone where you can either leave your pooch under the care of dog behaviorists, dress them up for a photo shoot or just have a little hang and a Kids Area with equipment and games

+ What should I bring?

There are a couple of things that will make your stay at SVM that much better. Along with cash, bring a hat, your own cup/container/water bottle/shopping bags (or you can get your very own SVM bag at the info stall!), a picnic blanket, a willingness to be introduced to the wonders of cruelty free living and an empty tummy! We will have sunscreen available at the Info Stall
